This rack can be used in a yard scene or an industrial area wherever hopper cars or tank cars need to be inspected, It has a swing down platform which can be raised out of the way to move cars along the track. It stands at about 7 1/2 inches tall. The stairway has been redesigned to offer a more compact footprint. Piping can be added to make the inspection rack a loading rack.
The superstructure of the maintenance platform has been redesigned to look less bulky and the stairway moved to the side to save space. This platform sits higher than a standard loading dock to allow maintenance personnel to work on the upper levels of the train. The platform is approximately 3 inches wide by 9 inches long and 2 3/4 inches high. All platforms come standard with a guard rail and two lamp posts (12VDC). Platforms can also be assembled with the stairway on the end so rolling stock on two parallel tracks can be serviced. Guard rails would extend along both sides of the platform with two gates on each side for access to two parallel tracks. Just contact us with your specifications! Add the fuel pumps to give the feel of a real service platform!
Fuel Pumps can be added to the Maintenance Platform to add some action to the railroad track-side structure! The fuel pump consists of rounded pump tank, a rectangular pump electrical housing and a hose assembly that swivels. The pump measure approximately 3/4 inch (W) x 1 3/4 inch (L) x 2 3/4 inch (H). The standard color is dull nickel. Other colors are available - just ask! The O Scale pump has been redesigned. There is now an electrical conduit box on the backside of the pump electrical housing. The pump swivel has been redesigned to rotate at two points
